Welcome Ashley McLaren to the BossSquad!
Ashley is President and Founder of True Care, as well as the proud mother of two beautiful daughters. Her career and life experience has given her a diversity of perspectives and capabilities which she brings to bear in leading True Care.
Family supporting family was a consistent theme in her upbringing. Throughout her professional career, realizing that not everyone has a strong support system led her to launch True Care to help fill in the gaps for others.
Since 2003 Ashley has worked at March of Dimes Canada, West Park Health Centre, and Canadian Hearing Services where she supported her clients to stay involved in social activities, ensure their safety, and set them up to continue to be independent in their homes.
Her leadership also led her to serve a 3 year term on the board of directors of Hamilton Urban Core Community Health Centre, and she currently sits on the Niagara Regional Police Service’s Chief of Police Community Inclusion Council.
Ashley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Society and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from McMaster University. She also completed a postgraduate certificate in Workplace Wellness and Health Promotion from Centennial College
