It's time to shape your personal brand and at SheBuildsBrands we encourage you to colour outside the lines. It happens every year and whilst it may not have struck a chord with you before, this year (for reasons we will soon divulge) it definitely should. No, not London Fashion Week, we’re talking about Pantone Colour of the Year. Each year colour experts at the Pantone Colour Institute pore over data and analysis of everything from art and design, food and entertainment to travel and technology, all to bring the public a colour of the year. And this year, we’re going bright and bold with ultra violet. Fellow boss chic and vice-president of the Pantone Colour Institute, Laurie Pressman, said

“The clock has run out on sexual assault, harassment and inequality in the workplace. It’s time to do something about it.” It’s now 2018 and the tables have turned. The 7th January 2018; a day that made history. The Golden Globes. However, it was like no other. As over 300 women within the film, television and theatre industry stood together with their biggest accessorise… A black dress. A line of black appeared as women stood together in solidarity to mark how the line can no longer be crossed. Their strong approach stood for so much more than an award or fashion; it stood for time being up in women inequality. Times Up Now was announced last Monday, as an initiative from hundreds of women

I am still very excited at this time of the year because I absolutely love, love, love women realising the possibilities that are available to them if they would only take a stand and put their lives and their happiness first. But some women have a different experience of New Year resolutions and goal setting. Maybe you can’t be bothered because you say you have tried it in the past and it did not work. Is that you? Are you fed up with trying to improve your life without any or little results? Refusing to attempt to change because you have tried it and it has not worked is like trying to make a cake in the past without a recipe or an idea and when the cake does not come out as you expected
