Hi everyone, I'm Helen from London. I want to start a women's footwear line for large sizes (43-45). Never done anything like this before, and don't even know where to start - which is how I ended up here :)
I have size 10 feet and I struggle to find shoes, so I can tell you easily that there is definently a market for it. In terms of where to start, I would probably say RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH. Suppliers, competitors, market, there are so many areas you can look at. The more information you get, the more that knowledge will fuel your desire. Go for it sis. We here at the members hub support u 100%!
I am also a lady with big feet, but still like to find shoes, especially heels, that are sexy and trendy. Therefore my advice to you is to research, check out companies that offer a similar service (When looking for shoes I tend to shop at Office, Next and New Look. All these shops offer a reasonable range at affordable costs.) also create a focus group to see what women want and to find out where they are currently shopping. I look forward to shopping with you. X
This is brilliant advice ladies! I totally agree that a focus group is needed. Also research your market place to identify who the competitors are and do a SWOT Analysis on your competitors. Lastly, feel the fear and DO IT ANYWAY. Keep us posted on how its all going. Kubi xxx
Research is key - maybe a focus group to really understand the market. Clear pain point is not finding a wide variety of styles. In the focus group you can look at requirements, desirables, delighters as well price points - from there you can roughly build your MVP.
Good luck & turn your FEAR in FUEL and let is drive you all the way!
